A daughter tries on her mother's thrifted green dress. Through this simple act she is tied to her mother and to her grandmother's past. 

She is also tied to the previous owner of the dress who obviously loved and cared for it. 

This dress was made in Canada the same year her grandmother was born in Haiti and before she would ever imagine emigrated to the country the dress was bought in.
