Solange wakes up at 4AM to go to her job downtown. She works in a long-term health-care facility and lost many patients to COVID-19. Her distress at this loss was palpable when we spoke.
Sandra Osman - Grade School Social Worker
Normally a social worker at a grade-school, Sandra was deployed to work reuniting patients with their families as COVID-19 was wreaking havoc in Quebec Long-term health care facilities. Families who could rushed to pull their parents from the sites who were often severely under-staffed due to the pandemic.

Farah was in charge of the morgue at her hospital. At the height of the pandemic the situation was dire and her logistical skills were required to manage the area.

She worked to keep the patients at her facility safe from COVID.
Karine Severin - Traveling Nurse
Karine came out of retirement and worked in regional hospitals to answer the need for healthcare professionals in more rural areas of Quebec.

She was in charge of controlling the infection rates in a Canadian prison.
Tamara Noël - Pharmacist
The number of patients she saw doubled as many people suffered greatly from the anxiety of going through the pandemic.
Idah Sona - Geriatric Nurse in a Long-Term Health Facilty
Idah initiated the first COVID zone of her facility in light of the high number of patients affected and their need to be isolated from the general population. She unfortunately also got sick from COVID and is now on the mend.
Nancy Plaisir - Hospital Manager
Nancy's tasked involved managing the nursing staff levels as many fell ill during the pandemic and were unable to work.
